The Sir Brian Bell Foundation has a long-standing relationship with Port Moresby General Hospital. The late Sir Brian Bell served as Chairman of the Hospital Board for 30 years and remained committed to supporting quality healthcare and life-saving services.
On 5 December 2018, the Sir Brian Bell Foundation proudly opened the new Sir Brian Bell Centre for Transfusion Medicine.
The Centre provides dedicated facilities for blood collection, testing, grouping, cross-matching and blood product services, while also supporting continuous education for members of the transfusion team.
