The Dental Outpatient Clinic offers general dental examinations, receives consultations and referrals, tooth extractions, tooth restorations, periodontal services and other general dental complaints.

PMGH Dental Division is an integral part of PMGH Medical Services and provides essential Oral Health Care Services to the population of NCD, Central, Gulf Provinces and referrals from Provincial Hospitals throughout the country.
As the Level 6 Hospital in PNG; Dental Division also provides several specialist Oral Health Care Services.
The PMGH Dental Services offers a general Dental Outpatient Clinic, three Specialist Dental Surgeries and a Dental Prosthetic Laboratory.
The Dental Clinic also offers intra-oral and an OPG diagnostic x-ray services.

The PMGH Dental Division provides general dental care together with specialist oral health services for patients referred to the hospital.

Specialist Oral Health Care
Oral Surgery (OMF)
This unit is headed by a specialist Oral Surgeon. Oral surgery services have two components: a day clinic and an inpatient unit.
The day clinic caters for examinations, reviews, consultations and minor oral surgical cases. The inpatient unit offers major oral surgical services including oral cancer, tumours and traumas.
Dental Prosthetic Services
This unit is headed by a Prosthodontist. Currently, it offers only removable acrylic dentures, including partial and complete removable dentures.
With upgrades of facility and equipment, more specialist services will be offered soon.
Dental Advanced Restoration Services
This unit is headed by an Endodontist. The unit caters for advanced restoration cases including endodontics, post and core, veneers and complex crown restorations.
Periodontal Services
This unit is headed by a Periodontist. It caters for periodontal complaints and also works with prosthodontists and oral surgeons offering holistic dental management for certain cases.
Orthodontic Services
This unit is headed by an Orthodontist. The unit offers essential orthodontic services for children and adults.
Dental Public Health Services
This unit is headed by a specialist Dental Public Health Dentist. It caters for outreach programs with partners.
A School Dental Health Program will commence soon to include schools in NCD.
